Creative Printed flooring
Here at Creative Continuity we use a printing process allows us to print any image onto a high specification PVC floor. This versatile material allows your imagination and creativity to run wild. When the visual content is limitless, literally anything can be applied as floor graphics. Some ideas include line drawings, illustrations, full colour images, photographics, crests or logos. Once graphics are applied to the floor what was once an underutilised space can suddenly become transformed into anything, from a sandy beach, to a garden of wild flowers. As if by magic, a funky floor mural appears, offering maximum impact and theatre.
Our imaginative team provides custom printed flooring for a diverse range of organisations and are working increasingly with the education sector supplying floor murals, printed flooring and floor graphics for learning environments.
Other custom printed flooring and creative flooring projects we have delivered include the ‘sandy beach effect’, a funky floor mural which transformed a dull space in a pre school learning centre into a sandy beach complete with shells, starfish and a gently rippling tide. In one such creative floor, we etched the title of the educational centre into the sand for additional effect.
A further example of our funky floor wizardry is the ‘yellow brick road’ we designed and custom printed for a children’s centre in Nelson. Originally, they had fitted a new carpet which had become badly discoloured in the space of a few months. The centre needed a hardy solution that would weather high traffic usage and they gave us carte blanche to revamp the floor. Creative Continuity had the idea for a Wizard of Oz themed decorative floor. This floor graphic consisted of yellow bricks that twisted and turned along corridors and featured stepping stones across streams. The theme captured the imagination of the children at the same time as creating a bright, cheerful environment, enhanced by the colourful images. The stepping stones encouraged counting and the children always enjoy jumping along them, adding a further educational and interactive element to the floor mural.
Creative Continuity’s custom printed floor answered the brief in full by providing a fit for purpose printed floor material with imaginative and funky graphics which appealed to staff, parents and children alike.
Welcome floor graphics are another way in which schools and education centres can immediately establish themselves as an uplifting environment. We all know that first impressions count and when parents visit schools, a clinical look can be a turn off. By promoting the ethos of the school through the application of a floor graphic or custom printed floor mural to a reception area floor, a meaningful impression is made immediately. The use of colour, content, wording and your school or educational centre’s logo and motto can make a real difference in bringing warmth and vitality to your building.
